I've never explored Scroll ecosystem, so was curious to look what's going on there. Seems like most projects were focused on the same things as other L2s: yield aggregators, stuff for AI agents etc. Wondering what could be built on Scroll to fully use its zkEVM capabilities.

The irony about zkEVMs is that if you use Solidity/EVM zk translates mostly into different performance tradeoffs but little new "qualitative" improvements.

Some examples of where that is not true when you use a different zkVM:

- Noir has built in support for privacy

- Starknet has Rust-like semantics in Cairo + the ability to build smart contracts on Bitcoin

There are some small differences in the "cost function", e.g., zkSync uses state diffs like Starknet which results in cheaper computation relative to optimistic rollups but there haven't been meaningful differences in the app layer as a result yet (but that may change with time).
